Our stay at Navy Mid-South RV Park was planned for two days before heading north to Illinois and Iowa. That was before 70% of the US experienced record cold temperatures. We’ve now been here for a week. Our water froze, so we installed a fresh water hose with integrated heat tape, purchased 125 feet of 4 mil plastic, cocooned the three tanks for heating with space heater, and duct-taped a skirt around Arthur. Going for the trailer trash look. All efforts proved fruitless, as we had no water again last night and today. Fortunately, it was the park supply that froze not us, and Park staff have fixed it for now. In the meantime, we’ve purchased two thermostatically-controlled blanket heaters for the tanks and expect delivery today. Are we having fun yet?
