Ms Fix It (MFI) is Susan Wittmack. The Pool Man (TPM) is Randy Bunner. We’ve been together in wedded bliss (kinda, sorta, perhaps, occasionally, mostly) for almost 40 years now. Our lives together have included his years as an Air Force Civil Engineer, then as an Environmental Auditor, and most recently as The Pool Man (details to follow). Her years have been spent as an architect, then a home renovator putting to use her years of accumulated skills and tools, and most recently as Ms Fit It at a guest ranch. Together they’ve spent the last 9 years supporting our friends Cindy Cogburn and Nick Muszynski at Pisgah View Ranch in Candler NC (www.pisgahviewranch.net).

At the ranch MFI honed many skills including having crawled under nearly every building on the ranch to repair plumbing, in electrical panels to sleuth power problems, repairing roof tops, and most recently got the chance to take a crack at commercial level cooking alongside the ranch’s chefs for a number of meals.

TPM, to be honest, spent 7 summers flying in and out of Asheville for his auditing work. The last two summers in what he calls “Retirement Chapter 1” he has become the pool maintainer par excellence for the ranch as well as becoming a not too shabby sidekick/helper to MFI. Those who know him will picture the depths of his determination to maintain the pool to the highest level of perfection possible.

Together thanks to both the US Air Force and CVS (his audit employer) we’ve traveled the world. TPM has circumnavigated the globe twice and been to every continent except Antarctica and Australia. In addition to those two as well, MFI has also missed out on the China part of Asia (like nearly the whole continent then, right?) Here and there we’ll sprinkle snippets of those travels.
